Santa Baby!

Makenzie is definitely not afraid of Santa Claus. To be honest, she is the exact opposite. She loves him! When she sees Santa she just wants him to hold her or to give him a hug. It is really cute, but I just hope all Santas are nice Santas!
Santa #1

The first Santa Makenzie met this year was at Mitch's parents' ward Christmas party. Makenzie hated waited in line to sit on his lap. It was a couple of days after arriving in Utah and wasn't adjusted to the time at all. She was tired and cranky which made it not so fun. When it was her turn to sit on his lap she walked right up to him. She just sat there with a small smile on her face.

Santa #2

Waving to Santa!

The second time Makenzie saw Santa is when we drove through "Christmas Lane." This is a street in a neighborhood where all of the houses decorate their houses to the extreme. Each house has a sign in its yard with a phrase from "Twas the night before Christmas." At one house Santa was handing out candy canes. Makenzie loved him!

Santa #3

This time she got a gift! Thanks Santa (and Grandma)!

The next time Makenzie saw Santa was at the Francis Christmas party. This is a huge Christmas party on Mitch's side of the family. It is a tradition for Santa to come and to give each kid a present. Makenzie wasn't feeling too well and was getting tired so she didn't like waiting for her turn. But once she was able to sit on his lap she was a happy little girl!

Santa #4

Makenzie and Brooklyn on Santa's lap!

Time for hugs!

Katelin and I had been wanting to take Makenzie and Brooklyn to see Santa at the mall. I wanted to do the special trip for Makenzie to see him. We decided to wait until Bryant and Mitch got to Utah. So the four of us took the two little girls to sit on Santa's lap. Makenzie was once again impatient for her turn. She got a little angry when she was next, but wasn't allowed to go. Once she could she ran to him and got right onto his lap. She just sat there and beamed. It was really cute. Brooklyn is a little afraid to sit on Santa's lap so we had the two girls sit there together. Brooklyn was putting on a brave face. Once we took Makenzie down, Brooklyn tried to reach for her dad. Santa tried to help get a good picture so he lowered Brooklyn's arms with his hand. Brooklyn freaked! After Brooklyn got off of Santa's lap Makenzie wanted to give Santa a big hug!

Santa #5

Yes, Makenzie saw Santa again! This time we were waiting to be sat at Texas Roadhouse. They had a Mrs. Claus and Santa that would talk to the kids waiting and would give them candy canes. Makenzie saw Santa from a ways away and just ran to him with open arms! He picked her up and she just loved it! Like I said earlier, I do hope all Santas are nice because my child will just run to any Santa!

Makenzie doesn't quite know that Santa comes on Christmas Eve and brings presents. She doesn't really know that you set out cookies and milk for him when he does stop by. But she does know that he is a good man that likes kids and she sure does love him!
