15 months and the beginnings of good byes

Alex turned 15 months which meant another well visit. This time however, was our last doctor appointment with Dr. Lewis. We really got to know the whole office throughout our time in Louisville, so we brought some cupcakes for everyone. I can't tell you how much we love Dr. Lewis, Dr. Hart and the entire office! I have unrealistic expectations of our next pediatrician, because they are that great!

Back to Alex. 15 months old now.

15 month stats:

Weight - 19.6 lbs (5%)

Height - 29.25 inches (25%)

Head Circ. - 18.25 inches (70%)

 

Puffs to keep her happy!

Dr. Lewis determined that Alex is completely healthy and right on track in development. Well, the only thing to watch is her talking. She doesn't say much. It's really only like 3 words. If she isn't talking more at 18 months, then we should make sure to let our new pediatrician know.

A little about Alex at 15 months.

Alex...
doesn't talk much.
only says mama when crying.
will say uh-oh and wow.
can say dada, but doesn't say it in relation to her dada.
grunts.
that's how she communicates.
by grunting.
it gets her what she wants.
wears size 4 diapers.
not going to change anytime soon.
wears 9 month clothes.
some 6 month and some 12 month.
she's still our petite, little girl!
still loves her food!
she eats pretty much anything.
LOVES her baby food pouches.
she sucks them down in less than 30 seconds.
has 2 teeth.
still doesn't have much hair.
but neither did Makenzie at this age.
still loves her binky!
we want to start phasing in out,
but she would suck her thumb if we did.
binky is better than thumb right now.
she's becoming a mama's girl.
doesn't like grass.
meaning doesn't like the texture of grass.
she refuses to step on it.
it's really funny!
is such a sweet girl!
we just love her!!

I wish we had gotten a picture of the girls with Dr. Lewis. We have really loved getting to know her and are extremely grateful for the support she has given us throughout medical school. We've always looked forward to doctor visits and are really going to miss her!

Unfortunately, this is the beginning or our good-byes. I don't do well with good-byes. But we have a lot of great adventures a head of us!
