3 + 1 = 4

On Monday, Mitch and I shared some news with our families. Last week I had mailed some magnets that I made and they arrived to our family members on Monday.

It was fun to get the text messages and phone calls as everyone was receiving their mail. Unfortunately, not everyone's mail arrives at a reasonable time! Luckily, (with some help) everyone received our announcement.

Cupcakes! I think Makenzie is quite cute in this picture. She was dying to eat one of the cupcakes!


I made the cupcakes (Reese's peanut butter cup cupcakes - yummy!) and the baby toppers to take into work. Everyone loved the cupcakes and were shocked with the news.



I'll be 17 weeks on Saturday and have been feeling great! Only 3 weeks until the halfway point and the anatomy/gender ultrasound. We have started talking to Makenzie about the baby. She isn't really getting it. We showed her the sonogram and told her that was the baby. Her response was, "Not baby." Then we told her the baby was in mama's belly. She stated, "no baby, that mama's belly." I'm sure she'll get it by the time the baby is here. We did tell her that we were going to get her a big bed and she was thrilled. At least she's excited about something!

We're excited (and a little nervous) to add a new addition to our little family!
