After our few days in New York we headed up to Boston. When we decided to go to New York I told Mitch that we had to go to Boston. We would be too close not to. I was so excited to see my friend Becky. A month before we moved to Louisville, Becky moved back to Boston. We became close working together at the Murray Park Center. I was excited to see her.
The first night we were there Becky took us to a delicious Italian restaurant. The pizza was so yummy. The next day we ventured into Boston. We rode the commuter train and Makenzie loved it! The first thing we did was head to the Duck tours. The tour took us all around Boston and even in the river. The weather was rainy (completely opposite as in New York) so it was nice to be inside the Duck.
After the Duck tour we decided to do a little walking to visit some of the sites. We mostly stuck to parts of the Freedom Trail.
We visited North church and saw where a lot of the forefathers sat. Bought a cannoli at Mike's Pastry (and a chocolate chip cookie for Makenzie). Saw where the Declaration of Independence was read. Walked through the cemetery where Samual Adams, Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, and other forefathers were buried. It was really cool to see all of the history.
After seeing downtown Boston compared to New York, Mitch decided he preferred Boston. It wasn't as crazy with people and the weather was more bearable. Mitch is definitely not a downtown city person though. After all of our walking we caught the train back and headed to Becky's for the night. The rest of the evening Makenzie loved to sit by Becky playing her Super Why app on her IPAD. It was a fun day in Boston!

That sounds so fun. That is cool they let Makenzie drive the duck.
