Before heading back home to Idaho we joined my parents for their ward Christmas breakfast. The girls were able to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. Makenzie has always had a weird love for Santa. She has never been afraid and she would probably go anywhere with Santa (that's a little scary). Alex, on the other hand, is not a fan.

 

 

After getting back to Pocatello that night we went to our ward Christmas party. Alex still was not a fan!

 

 

A few days later, Makenzie wrote a letter to Santa and we took it to him at the mall.

 

 

There weren't other kids around, so Makenzie sat on his lap for a little bit. They read her letter and just talked. She was loving it!

 

 

Alex stood by me and watched. I told Santa that she was afraid to sit on his lap. So he talked to her from a distance for a while. Then he asked if she wanted to sit on his lap. Shockingly, she went to him and sat on his lap. She even smiled!

 

 

Alex did so great there was even time to

take a picture of both girls!

 

He was the BEST Santa! After we did a little shopping in the mall Makenzie wanted to say good bye to him. So she ran over and gave him a hug. He told her to come visit again. She replied with, "I will!" As we walked away she yelled back to him, "See you tomorrow!"
