Makenzie's imagination has really taken off. She loves to dress up as princesses and play with her kitchen set. She likes to bring me food to eat. Sometimes there is an alligator upstairs that's going to get us or Mr. Grinch is in the other room. The other day Mitch took Makenzie to the park and she was sitting on a dinosaur rocking thing. She told Mitch to put his finger in its mouth. When he did, she yelled, "He bit you!" Then she made him run away from the playground because the dinosaur was going to get them. Mitch was walking, but she wouldn't allow that and made him run. They made it to a bench for safety, but then the dinosaur was coming after them there. We love that she has such a great imagination. It's so fun to watch and be a part of!
Makenzie is also really smart. She has been working on learning to write her letters. She currently can write the letters A, B, D, E, F (sometimes), I, O, P, and T. She's working on the others. We're also trying to teach her how to spell and write her name. She does know all the sounds of the alphabet (thank you Letter Factory). Also, one of her favorite things to do is puzzles. It amazes me how great she does at them.
Makenzie absolutely loves to sing and dance. It is so fun to watch her. She's quite the spastic dancer! We're thinking about signing her up for a dance class for her birthday. We think she'll love it!
I just love my Makenzie girl! I'm happy to say that things are getting much better. I wouldn't say she hates me anymore. We still have moments, but not as often. She's an amazing big sister and a great helper.
